Discovery Review
Netcool Precision
Netcool Precision. Written for either single domain or multiple domain use. The goal of this script is to allow the user to see the result of a discovery. It will also allow the SNMP testing / double checking of some of the discovered values. This script has several other scripts associated with it. It was designed for Solaris.
Warning of trouble
Netcool ObjectServer
This script will monitor CPUand row count for the ObjectServer. The first sign of trouble when it comes to the Object Server is CPU usage. You will have to baseline your CPU usage and apply that to the threshold in the script. This was written for V7 but in Solaris.
Monitor Precision
Netcool Precision
This script is set to monitor all the process in ncp_ctrl and report via email when one has failed, died, or is sick. Included in the documentation is the props and rules files for using this with a syslog probe. Also a small flow chart to help troubleshoot. Script is shell and written on Solaris.
File merging
Netcool Precision
This script was made to make a seedfile containing a cross between three other files. It will take the IP and name from the first file and combine them with a third value from two other sources. Written for Solaris using perl.
